Mary Grace Landrum is the principal of Landrum & Associates, an HRD consulting firm specializing in employee and organizational effectiveness solutions. She brings a dynamic mix of experience and perspectives from varied industries…energy, telecommunications, shipping, health care, and public sector clients in government and community services. She has provided workforce development consulting and management services for several Fortune 100 companies as well as government and education clients. Her partial client list includes ConocoPhillips, Shell Oil, CenterPoint Energy, DHL, Lone Star College, US Oncology, North Forest ISD, the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and the Harris County Tax Office.
For the Corporate Telelink Network, a business television and distance learning provider to the energy industry, Ms. Landrum developed and implemented a marketing strategy, which resulted in a 75 % increase in corporate sponsorships, a 15% increase in new subscribers and increased product sales.
Ms. Landrum has assisted client organizations in increasing employee retention by designing leadership curricula for supervisors and managers and facilitating customer service and leadership courses to help all employees make sound business decisions and attract and retain customers.
Landrum has also worked as a team leader on organization review and evaluation projects with recommendations resulting in employee retention above the industry average and savings of $100K in annual expenses. Landrum has assisted clients with a geographically dispersed workforce by designing and developing CD-ROM and video-based solutions.
Prior to starting her own business, Ms. Landrum was manager of Training & Organizational Development for ARCO Pipe Line Co. and Columbia Gulf Transmission Company. She was responsible for developing curricula to improve the leadership skills of all managers, developing and tracking compliance training and implementing performance management programs. Ms. Landrum’s combination of enthusiasm and practical experience also kept her in demand as a classroom facilitator.
Landrum is a recognized leader in professional and civic organizations. She is past president of a 700-member professional association, has chaired national committees for the American Society of Training and Development and chaired committees for the HoustonWest Chamber of Commerce. She has served on Boards at the Post Oak YMCA, One Voice Texas and the Spring Branch Educational Foundation and as an elected trustee of Spring Branch Independent School District for six years.
Landrum and was recognized for her leadership and service by the Southern Gas Association, being the first Human Resource Professional in 80 years to receive their Distinguished Service award. She has spoken on the topic of distance learning at national and regional conferences and the University of Houston. She holds a Masters in Education from the University of Texas at Austin and has served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston.
